Fire Lite now owned by Honeywell has been around for many years and I have never been a big fan of their products they just do not hold up like Potter and other products on market
But they always made good quality pull stations like the BG-12 .
Unfortunately the BG-10 was a big fail.
Just a bad design all around .
installers would over tighten them and screw would break then it was found out they would not go into alarm .
They where recalled and a kit issued to make them work properly but the kit still often failed.
I have tried to get rid of all of them and replace with BG-12
But i recently took over some Fire Systems and now have to deal with some I have found
The latest one if found trying to test it the alrm went off but then I could not get the pull station apart
because it was over tightened and broke the retainer ring which holds it in place
How this design ever got past UL just boggles the mind but then again the Silent Knight total piece of crap 68-- series of panels did as well.\
